Rihanna Named Ambassador For Barbados
When you hear the word, “Barbados,” Rihanna should come to mind. That’s what the island nation’s tourism authority is banking on, anyway.
Rihanna showed appreciation for her roots by signing a deal with the Barbados Tourism Authority to promote her homeland.
“We are proud to announce that musical sensation and social phenomenon Rihanna has partnered with the Barbados Tourism Authority as an exclusive promotional partner for three years” The Authority stated via its Facebook page. “Celebrate this amazing announcement today by joining us on August 5th as she brings her “Loud” tour to Bridgetown, Barbados, her homeland.”
As ambassador, the 23 year-old R&B sensation will promote the Caribbean island through advertising campaigns, promotional appearances and her social media, Rihanna’s official site reports.
