How did you first get into modeling?

I was always interested in modeling, photography and just being in front of the camera for as long as I can remember. My first gig was shooting for a clothing line in NYC that ended up in a magazine.

Would you consider modeling to be a natural talent?

Modeling for SOME does come natural, but for the majority you definitely have to work at it. Many people think it’s so simple but it’s a job.  Knowing the angle of your body and face is quite essential to modeling. Sticking the poses to get that ONE shot indefinitely takes talent.

You are truly beautiful. What is your ethnic background?

Aw thank you!!! Humbly appreciate that.  I am a proud mix of Jamaican and Asian!

Does your family and friends support your career as a model?

Yes they do! Support in your beliefs and goals in life is very important and can affect your performance.  I’m very thankful that my family, friends and loved ones support me!

What can you tell us about your first shoot?

Wow taking it back eh? lol… my first shoot was in NYC. I was booked through a modeling site by a photographer who shot for America’s Next Top Model Naima. Those shots are so funny and amateur. Thank God for growth lol!

Do you consider modeling to be a lifestyle?

For me, not yet… even with all the opportunities presented to me I can’t really call it my lifestyle just yet. But in due time modeling among other things will be!  ;)

Name a few projects you’ve had a chance to be a part of.

So far for the year 2011, I’ve been thankful and excited to be apart of 5 features/interviews. Appeared on the online radio show morefireradio.com with Que from Day 26.  I’ve also been a featured model in a music video for a Canadian artist. Black novel author Ericka Monique Williams has featured me on the cover of her recently published book that’s sold online, in stores and on her website erickaw.com. Just to name some things and more to come!  ;)

What are your biggest assets as a model?

My biggest assets as a model are my intelligence and amazing humble personality… which is pretty rare in this industry!

What is one of your favorite experiences as a model?

I definitely enjoy and and am grateful for the experiences of meeting and connecting with people in the industry. They’re people like us but with more exposure and it’s just nice to be able to be cool with them.  That and the traveling are great experiences!

Name one misconception about the modeling industry?

There are sooo many but I would definitely agree on the body weight and height factor. You don’t have to be super tall or super skinny to model. Modeling is a tree that has many categories branching from it. There are all types of modeling – do your research!  ;)

In one word, describe your personality.

Being a true Cancer, my personality is all over the place – in a good way lol. But I can definitely say it’s BOLD!

Can you cook?

YES I love to cook… and I can cook good lol.

What are your hobbies?

I love and am an addict to the gym! I am never satisfied. I can always be better!

Where is your sexual weak spot?

Haha. If you can take control in the bedroom you got me! Be a man, be aggressive, get kinky, get rough – take control! ;)

Do you have any special talents or characteristics about you that others do not know?

I do. :) I’ve played violin and am fluent in American Sign Language, both for 6 years.

What are some of your turn-ons?

A man that is himself and doesn’t try to be something he isn’t… one that can take control in bed. An Alpha Male! Confidence, good hygiene, sex appeal, Megan Fox. ;)

What are some of your turn-offs?

People who talk the most on things and people they know the least about, liars, disloyal people, users, guys who act like they wear a skirt and no back bone, bad breath, etc.

Name two things you wish to accomplish in 2011.

I can’t name two things… in general, I want to better myself at everything I do and be better than my best.

What advice would you give others trying to get into the modeling business?

The most important thing is to know YOU. Know who you are, your direction, what you stand for and what you want to do. It’s easy to get lost in such a huge high demand industry. Do your research and be realistic with yourself don’t set yourself up to waste your time. Be confident and work hard!  ;)
